BRAND IDENTITY
Types of Logos
Your logo says a lot about your brand and sets an initial impression on your audience.
There are 4 main types of logo designs: Wordmark, Lettermark, Symbol and Combinations of each.
Wordmarks – Great for small and growing brands because the audience can easily read the company’s name.
Lettermarks – Great for well-established and recognized brands, or luxury and formal.
Symbol – A graphical element that resembles the brand. Symbols can be accompanied by wordmark logos or a typeface to display the company name with it.
Combinations – A mixture of a symbol, graphical element, wordmark or lettermark.

Add Some Style
Before logo and identity concepts are created, we will try to create the personality of our brand. Instead of shaping your brand to your personal interests, let it have its own persona. One that is shaped by the industry and audiences we want to be a part of. Then we can add our own uniqueness.
Here are some branding elements to consider:
Colors – The power of color psychology has long been recognized and used by companies worldwide to invoke feelings and emotion into their audiences. There are many color guides that break down the overall feelings each color might create. There are also different color schemes and theories that designers use to color coordinate and create balanced designs.
Typography – Also pretty well known, is the effect typography, or font choices, can have on a brand. The typefaces of you implement can and often do enforce the feelings and seriousness of your brand. Typefaces should be legible and carefully considered. The brand itself should have no more than 2 typefaces. One for display and one for text copy. These typefaces should be similar enough to keep a consistent feeling while sharing your message.
Graphic Style – Back to the fun parts of our persona building. The textures, patterns and graphic styles we use help create the vibe of our brand. Keeping in mind that brand identities make subtle shifts throughout time (just like we do!). Consistency is key, your art styles, layouts and placement should stay consistent too!
Spokesperson – Or spokespeople, employees, anyone that represents your brand publicly should be in tune with the identity and atmosphere you want to set. Have employees understand your brand’s mission statement and promote it as much as possible!
